To Write Love on Her Arms

I am a new member of the TWLOHA street team. I have a personal passion for helping people who are struggling with life. LIfe throws us all curve balls all the time and sometimes all it takes to make someone feel better about themselves is the support of someone else. I have realized that it is very difficult to find people who understand the cycle of depression and negativism. Friends and family listen and are supportive, but no one really gets it unless they have been there themselves. That is the purpose that To Write Love on Her Arms serves in my life. The people who are apart of this impact group "get it." If nothing else, in times of despair, when you feel like you are grasping for straws, what really helps bring you up from the bottom is feeling that someone else really understands what you are going through. This is why I joined the street team. I am 22 and have been there, time and time again. The cycle of rehab-recovery is endless without the support of other people. TWLOHA has touched my life already just by existing and I am enthralled to discover what else they will be able to offer me as I get more involved. Since I was a little girl, I have always aspired to change the world. This is my chance. And what better way to do it than to help inspire other people that life really is worth living, and at some point, things get better.
